Mixed Media

We Were Young Once - Group Exhibition

This body of work began on my 40th birthday, a milestone that felt both tender and defiant. Each piece is a meditation on aging, memory, and the ways we navigate change, a reflection on the truth that we were young once, but are forever in motion.

I combine black-and-white photographs with pressed and dried flowers, stitched elements, and handmade weathered frames to create contemporary art that resonates with viewers. The monochrome images evoke nostalgia and impermanence, while the organic materials, flowers chosen for their fragility and resilience, symbolize growth, decay, and renewal. The stitching serves as both mending and marking, connecting fragmented moments and experiences into a whole.

The handmade, weathered frames hold the works like relics, honest and imperfect, echoing the passage of time and the marks it leaves on us. These frames become part of the artwork itself, reminding us that our scars, both visible and invisible, shape who we are becoming.

This series of unique art pieces is deeply personal, yet it invites viewers to consider their own relationship with aging, resilience, and the stories that emerge from the layers of time. Through these works of modern art, I hope to create space for quiet contemplation, an opportunity to honor the beauty in imperfection, the power of transformation, and the ongoing journey of becoming.

Photo Essay - Survival

A visual narrative shaped by memory, emotion, and reclamation, this portfolio showcases contemporary art that explores the space between collapse and recovery. Using toys, texture, and the human form, it tells layered stories of resilience through unique art pieces. Each image invites the viewer into moments of fragmentation and healing, where humor meets hurt, and innocence meets survival. Through carefully composed contrasts and symbolic detail, these photographs reflect a lived experience that refuses to be flattened. This is not just documentation; it’s a transformation framed in modern art.

The Stillness Between Cycles - Laundromat

In the dim light of laundromats, time feels like it slows down, leaving a quiet sense of longing, like abandoned socks missing their pair. These contemporary art photos capture moments of solitude, where the hum of machines is the only sound, and the space holds an unsettling stillness. There's a haunting beauty in these unique art pieces and forgotten places that lingers long after you’ve left, echoing the essence of modern art.

Urban Exploration

Through my photography, I capture the energy, beauty, and quiet moments hidden within the urban landscape, creating unique art pieces that resonate with viewers. From the glow of neon reflections on wet pavement to the interplay of light and shadow on towering architecture, my cityscapes delve into the rhythm of everyday life in built environments, reflecting contemporary art and modern art influences. Each image tells a story of movement, solitude, history, and change, inviting you to see the city from a new perspective.
